The concept of QMRA doesn’t come entirely out of nowhere. The organization behind QMRA, the Netherlands-based company XY Legal Solutions, has successfully established a Dutch affiliate quality mark called the ‘Keurmerk Verantwoorde Affiliates (KVA).’ After KVA, we launched an earlier version of the QMRA quality mark. This was focused on the Belgium market and the UK market. Now, QMRA has a broad focus and services various international markets.

The team behind QMRA consists of several consultants, highly involved with the international iGaming market.
Founder of QMRA

QMRA was founded by Steven Vrolijk. Steven founded the consultancy company XY Legal Solutions B.V. (XYLS) in 2018. XYLS is a niche firm, focusing mainly on the iGaming industry and GDPR related matters. While XYLS has operators, developers and affiliates as clients; Steven decided to start a Dutch quality mark for affiliates upon the Dutch iGaming market being regulated in 2021 (Keurmerk Verantwoorde Affiliates, KVA).
As KVA turned out to be a great success within the Dutch regulated market, Steven made the decision to create a similar quality mark for other markets as well. QMRA is now active within various (European) regulated markets, where affiliates and operators can benefit from its value.
The Advisory Board of the KVA
The Dutch Quality Mark for affiliates, KVA, has an advisory board of industry specialists. Where the members of the advisory board are officially connected to KVA, the team behind QMRA is the same as the team behind KVA. This means that we benefit from insights we receive from these valued advisory board members.
