QMRA member Casino2k reached the shortlist in two categories at the EGR Italy Awards 2026, held in Rome on 20 October. As a finalist, it competed for Affiliate of the Year and Casino Affiliate. It returned as the reigning Affiliate of the Year, having won the title in 2025. We are proud to see one of our members on the shortlist for a second year running.
About the EGR Italy Awards
EGR Global has organised the EGR Italy Awards since 2014. The ceremony takes place each year at the Rome Cavalieri. It recognises operators, affiliates and suppliers in the Italian online gaming market. Companies submit their own entries, after which a judging panel selects the shortlist and the winners. This year’s edition introduced new categories, including Affiliate Network of the Year, Outstanding Contribution to the Italian Market and Operator Performance Award. These ran alongside established categories such as Affiliate of the Year, Casino Innovation and Best Customer Service. For affiliates, a place on the shortlist also carries extra weight this year. The ceremony came less than a year after Italy cut its online market to 52 licences.
Casino2k at the EGR Italy Awards 2026
Casino2k has covered the regulated Italian market for almost 20 years and focuses on ADM-licensed online casinos. In addition, the site runs a forum where players can report problems they could not resolve with an operator. According to Casino2k, this service has helped players recover more than €1.9 million so far.
Salvatore Martorana attended the EGR Italy Awards with his business partners Matteo Giannone and Stefano Franceschetti. He described the evening as exceptional in both entertainment and organisation. On the result, he said: “Although we didn’t win an award, being shortlisted in two categories was already a victory for us.” Martorana added that the team will keep working with consistency and dedication. He also thanked the organisers and his colleagues.
Responsible affiliate work in Italy
As a QMRA member, Casino2k meets our Italian compliance standard. Our legal team checks that every promoted operator holds a valid ADM licence on the exact domain the affiliate promotes. We also require a visible 18+ warning and bonus claims that do not mislead.
Responsible gambling tools are a fixed part of that check. Certified sites must link to self-exclusion resources, such as the national RUA register.
